The artist Mr.Zane Wylie who is a master of carving real human skull shared rights with us to use his art works to struck collectibel coins. Coins Boutique holds an exclusive rights to use the Carved Skulls designs in numismatics .The purpose behind the real human skull Zane Wylie carved was to honor St. Aloysius Gonzaga. He was born to a wealthy family with a career ahead of him and gave it all up to serve the people. His calling? to care for those dying of the plague. Because of this he is also known as the Saint for young people to inspire them to give their lives to service. Because of continuous exposure to those he lovingly serve, he himself died of the plague. Because of this he is depicted holding a skull in paintings honoring his life. In the original carved piece this coin represents, the relic in the forehead is considered Ex. Oss meaning "Of the Bone" and features actual bone fragments from the Saint Gonzaga as well as two very old crosses. The original piece took approximately 100+ hours to carve and now is on display in a private collection.
